Hi folks, How goes it ??
Could someone tell me the resistance figure for the source coils or stator and between which two wires the measurement is taken ??
In this case I've got a 1985 ATC 350-X
The "Spark" is consistant, but at cranking speed(with the electric starter) The spark is blue, but it's also just kinda' weak looking. (Not at all fat)...............Dave

Thanks,............Bruce,that's just what I needed.
now if I can just accomplish the test. I see you mentioned a couple wires by their color, hope these are the ones connected to the problem, You see electrical has never been my "Forte" And yes,I'm enjoying my "Magic Button" presented by Goki, installed by me !
Thanks Bud,..................Dave

Hey 350XinNY I've got my fingers crossed that I'may have found the problem.
Before I even got out the multi-meter,I finished up on the experiment that the previous person had given me about snipping the heavy spark lead a bit and then replacing the plug cap with a new one. I checked the spark condition after this and no real change, wouldn't start. After a couple hits on the starter, it flashed through my mind that someone had told someone else that their kill switch had gone south and was causing the bike not to start, so I said to myself what the heck and I pulled the two screws out of the switch and left it dangling, hit the starter and wal...la ! the very same plug that wouldn't start the motor was now running fine, after a little (Normal) warm up. I rode around on the farm quite a little bit and I'm feeling pretty cute, right now, but................We'll see......Thanks all...Dave :beer
