Just pulled it in tonight. 85 250r with Bill's pipe & silencer, west coast +4 swinger, new paddles & front tire, and a 3.5 gallon desert tank. It's in good overall shape, but needs some love. Check out the seat cover made out of a set of old blue drapes! :D Oh well, price was right: $900.00 :naughty: Made my day!

I like the 87R look on your bike. I have been thinking about putting white plastics on mine with the flat track look. Looks great.

thanks guys. Here are bigger pic's. I may end up getting a white front fender, white headlight, blue radiator shrouds, and use my old blue seat cover. Then I'll powdercoat the frame YZ blue.

I like it, and have a question on how bulky the damn larger gas tank is, does it affect your ability to ride or does it help on take offs with the extra weight?

Heres mine

The tank is noticably different. The previous owner said this was the first generation gas tank by Clark, only made for one year. It is wider, but no taller than the stock one. I haven't gone on a ride yet to see if the added weight makes much a difference, but I'm sure it will be noticeable.

Out of curiousity, where did you get the white headlight assembly? I'm looking for one to replace the stocker (I don't want to paint a headlight assembly in as good condition as this one is.

Go to Maier's Website. Here is the link, you can order directly from them the headlight shell, and transfer your parts right onto it. That way you can either keep the OEM headlight shell in case you want to change back or sell it to someone.

Yeah I was wondering how the width affects the ride. I am thinking of getting one if clarke doesn't make the replacement ones that were discussed on this website a whil ago. I emailed them about their tank and they have no ETA on its arrival.
