Alright, I posted this thread before , and got some answers, but it was so long ago I forget what they were. Anyhow I have a 85 ytm 225DX. there is a adjuster screw with locknut on the gearbox. Its to add more or less "catch" to the clutch. Well I can only move the screw not even a 20th of an inch if that either way, and from trying to force it, I started stripping it. It's stuck in a position that has a lot of pressure behind the tranny. Does anyone know what the problem is, or how to fix it? Also someone said that they had a the adjuster screw and nut assembly. Also the YTM 225 DX has reverse, correct? Or is it 225 DR I forget.

It would be a 225DR if it has reverse.
It sounds like your problem it just that the adjuster is stuck which they sometimes do if they are left too long or were backed all the way out or in. Just take off the engine cover (drain the oil first!) then you can see if you need to force it loser of tighter. Then clean it all up since it is off anyways and but everything back together, fill with oil and adjust it then.
