Is it a K or an L?

I have a 84 YTM 225 DX. On Yamaha's website they list a DXK & a DXL. Anybody know the difference & how to tell which one mine is?

That last letter tells the model year.

K = 1983
L = 1984
N = 1985 (Guess they skipped 'M' cause of moto or motorcycle??)

SOO00oo.. that makes your 1984 225DX officially a YTM225DXL

yup..it's a dxl...and if it has black plastics then it is the special edition model
