Fork Trouble

I am having some trouble with the forks on my ytm 225. on came apart fine but the other one is having trouble. When i compressed the cap to remove the circlip it became stuck. So now the clip is out but the cap is stuck. I have tried compressing the hell out of the spring over night loaded w/ penatrating oil and left it in the garage all winter long but it is still stuck! I am wondering what i can do to free this thing. Any help would be great.
