My first trike, a 200x!

Yea, the front fender is crooked, there is a hole where the exhaust is, and the plastic is kind of wobly, by I'm NOT complaining for $300. It has a DG pipe on it, and it sounds EXACTLY like a 400ex. This thing is uber fast. Or, atleast, faster than what I am used to(300ex). The motor was JUST rebuilt, and it started up on him the first kick when we got there. She is a beauty to me.

Not bad for 300 bucks. Have fun with it and take care of it.

Here's what would be on my to do list with that.

1. New tires all around. Stocker in the front. Not sure about the back. Depends on what kind of riding you do. I find the H-traks off a 400ex to be a nice all around tire though.

2. Headlight. You can use a headlight off a '85-86 250R or 350x (or an '86-87 200x for that matter). They all look better than the original and shouldn't be too hard to track one of them down.

3. Front fender. You can still get brand new ones from maier. '85-86 250R front fenders look really good on 200x's as well.

4. New handlebars. ;)

That's all just what *I* would do though. Smoking deal for the money though dude. Have fun fixing it up.

yea you got a really good deal...i got mine for 150..basket case..i still need a few things,no grab bar, front fender is broke in half, no headlight, back plastic is broke all up in the back so the guy i got it from put a huge piece of black fiber glass on it and bolted it to it..lol..looks pretty cool tho..didnt have a gas tank when i got it..it was missing alot..it still is but not much that will keep me from riding it when i get it runnin! as i said before..that looks sweet ! lol i wish i had found one that good for 300..i bout have 400 in mine and its not together..id say * got a dam good deal man!

Yes, I would go with a 250r fender, it will bolt right up and look alot better then a 200x fender.
Also I would put some new fork boots (very cheap on eBay), and I would get a front caliper on there so you can have front brakes.

Well, I took it out. MAn this thing is nice. Logs are a snap, hills are baby crap, creeks are like puddles, but the stickers still hurt :). This thing has got plenty o' torque for my 210 lbs 6'2 body. And it gets up and goes real nice.

Is it a 1983? Looks like a tube swingarm but it's hard to tell.

Is the swingarm made out of round tubes or is it rectangular? The tube type swingers came on the 83's only.

If the ID tag is still on it, it will be at the front of the frame on the downtube.
