Guess what? As most of you all know, I am always on the hunt for abandoned or neglected trikes. Well this find is by far the largest collection I have ever seen. I swear on my son that all this is true. This guy has at least nine ATC 70’s, a serious butt load of every ACT’s between 110’s and 200’s and several amphibious six wheel vehicles. He even has a few 250R’s stuck away in his barn. There are parts, trike, quads and all kind of other stuff spread out all over this guy’s property.

Well at least that was the case. I have spent the better part of the past year working on his guy. I finally get him to the point he is ready to make deal on all of it and guess what happens. Some son of a ***** from Texas comes in and buys all of it out from under me. I am well beyond pissed off right now. I sacrifised a lot to make this deal happen. I sold my truck to gather the funds and I sold off some of my Yamahas to make room. My Yamahas ******! Any of you that have kept up with my posting knows damn good and well when I find this stuff; I do not try to make a profit. I just want to get these trikes back on the trails and into good homes. I told a few people here on this forum about this find. I would hate to think any of you betrayed my trust, but I can not help but think it is awfully damn coincidental that all this stuff gets scooped up after I start telling people. I made sacrifices I did not want to make to make this deal happen. Just to have some mother ****** from four states away come in and take it all out from under me. If some one here is responsible for this, I think it is best that I not find out.

Oh man....I would be soooo pissed off. I couldnt imagine selling my truck and other rides for the loot, just to have someone snatch it from under my nose. Sorry to hear the bad news man...hopefully you can find another stash somewhere soon.

angry does not begin to explain how I feel right now. Here is the worse part. I was not doing this to benefit myself. I just wanted to see that these trikes get good homes. If that son of a ***** did not live so far away I would drive to his house and kick his ass unitl I felt better.

I'd be totally p.o., myself.

But if I wuz you I'd save a little of that anger for the guy who dealt with you all this time, only to sell it off to some knob from Texas behind your back.

Sorry to hear of your loss though, for sure.
I can just see the big sale on ebay any day now.

That is who I am most angry at. He is a good two hour drive from me. Between the cost of fuel and tols to get there I would end up more in the whole than I already am. I am going to be watching the ebay auctions from Texas very carefuly. Of course, I have no idea what that will do.

i would be mad too...but think, the person in texas may be doing the same thing you wanted to do. that, or, they want to start a junkyard hmmm... i would be pissed tho

The Texan that bough it all owns a salvage yard. Do the math.

Definitely wasn't me---cause I never knew about it. I never would bid crap out from under people, especially when there is already a kinda understood "deal". What a bummer.

LonesomeTriZ
04-04-2005, 07:16 PM
This should give you an idea of the shaer size of this deal. It literally took me an entire day to go though most of what he had. I said most! There were other portions I simply ran out of day light in time to see.

This guy had to be serious and had to head out here woth a serius rig. In order to haul everything back to Texas he would have HAD to bring a semi. I kid you not.

That is a terrible story -- Sorry to hear that. What did he offer alot more $$$ or something. I dont understand why the seller who you established a rapport with would do that to you!!!

Maybe he only told you that because he decided that he didnt want to sell out, but didn't have the heart/guts to tell you that?? :wondering

I really feel for ya buddy. I'd put all the blame on the seller though.

This....." Some son of a ***** from Texas comes in and buys all of it out from under me."...... should have been phrased this "The son of a ***** seller sold it all out from under me."

How did a guy from Texas find out about it anyway? The seller had to been advertizing it underneath you I would think?

Very thoughtful of you to give them all a good home instead of parting them out. I just love rooting through stuff myself and find it as much fun as riding. If I lived near you and had the $$ I would of gladly helped out in the funds.

Sure sounded like fun though checking them out!

He would not give me any details. He wanted to get off the phone with me asap. From what I gathered, this is my oppinion. He figured the lot was worth a lot than what I could give, becouse I was hounding him about them. So he found a buyer with a larger budget and looking to make a profit. Sometimes I feel like I am the only person left that actually keeps my word no matter what the cost may be.

I think that sucks and I think your opinion is right. I hate to think of all those trikes being parted out. Can you at least get your trikes back?

No. I have made the deals and I will not renig on them. I value my integrity. Once I make a deal I stick to it no matter what.

Man there are not enough **** asterixs (lol) to express how mad I am for you! You are a excelent person, a...i can't think of the right words.....Most F***in honset,, sincere, trust worthy...whole lota other positive adjectives...person in the whole wide world and I can not beleieve that this is the lot you have been handed.........I cannot express my anger......

All I can say is you have my support, and my fists. You need to gather up a pose and ride out to F***in Texas? I am your man all the way till the end! I got your back. I swear....

You of all people do not deserve this.....

argh...!!!!!

I mean jeeze...this guy would be like oh crap...just imagine it 40-50 trikes come rolling into his front lawn, a huge dust cloud following them, the sunset at thier backsides, all ridden by POed trike enthusitics. We could start circleing the house like we're gonna swoop in for the kill......I can almost taste the dust and exhaust....that would be a fearsome sight.....

OK...so maybe i exagerate but still this sucks for you man.........

Thanks Louis for your kind words. I am still very angry. Looking at all the trike photographs does not seem to be helping much right now. I would love to go pay this guy a visit. But I was thinking of something a little more covert. Never piss of a Marine grunt. I am so angry right now I simply have no idea what to do. The idea of all those trikes quads and parts going to a salvage yard is not setting well with me right now.

That is the problem. I did put out a lot. A hell of a lot.

Thanks every body for your support. I do not think you all got my point though. YOU are the ones that got screwed. I was getting thos ATV's to benefit all of you. I am a Yamaha only man. Any other quad or trike I get I put out there for you all to take advantage from. any body who has bought any thing from me already knows that.

Oh I understand exactly.... You sold off some of your fleet....your pride and joy...man...it hurts when you move something out in hopes for something new/other oportunities. There seems to be a couple different types of trike lovers on here.

A: Trike Lover that has a passion for the things...keep em so clean and beutiful they can live in the velvet rope living room. They get cleaned and primped almost as much as they get ridden.

B: Trike rider who likes em but there idea of a mint trike is one that has tires that hold air and fenders that keep the mud off. (mind you theres nothing wrong with this just pointing out the differences)

C: Those of us who have the nicest Yamaha YTM225DXN in the whole world!!!
:D :) Just teasing edog.

But seriously....it sucks moving something you like alot because you think it'll come out better in the long run and then have it go up in your face....and then there the honesty issue and worth of someones word.

There is nothing more valuable than someones word. Once you break your word then you have nothing....This dude broke his word to Lonesometriz. This is a huge deal.

I feel for you man. probably more than you know.

that really sucks man..think of it in the simplist terms of how they guy knew about it..maybe old time friends?? and yea i bet he had more than 1 trip even with a semi...or more than 1 semi...for that much he either crushed it down for 1 semi or he stacked it all up for a couple trips or another semi..theres no way 1 semi could fit all that ..i bet they were good friends or that "seller" was stoned or something

I think I can see maybe how a 58 footer could have gotten most of it in there. But there is no way, and I mean no way it would have been done with out damaging a lot of the platics and other vulnerable parts. Now all those complete ans very much in tact machines are in peices and broken up and getting parted out. It really is quite sickining to think about.

Just in case watch this guy.

I remember reading a few negative posts about him and he is in texas. Don't know if he is on this site. Ya figure if he is big on selling 3 and 4 wheeler parts he is probably on all the sites. I know I buy stuff from this site before ebay because I can usually get a good price but of course everything I buy is for my own use not for resale.
Sorry to hear that happened to you man.

Oh my, I think I am about to go into anger over load. If that is the buyer that slipped in under the wire I will be unable to control my rage. He should not even be in the business. I have to stop, I will go on and on about how messed up that would be if he turns out to be the one.

Seriously though, if you find out who it was, let me know because I'd be interested in looking at the 6 wheelers. :)

Well that Jerrlance dude is out of Fla and not in TX. But he is a bad person to deal with and sells nothing but junk, so he probably didnt buy it cuz it sounds like nice stuff.
Hey bra, I feel your pain but for some reason it wasnt meant to be, maybe something bigger and better will come your way, who knows. Stand all and stand strong bra, good things always happen to the good guys eventually............peace

I am not really angry with the buyer all that much. I said I would be even more angry if it was that guy on ebay because not only does he sell junk, but he obviously does not care about the condition of his parts. Has any one noticed how many plastics he has spray painted flat black and posted. The idea of all those nice trikes and quads going to some one like him is unbearrable.

LonesomeTriZ
04-05-2005, 10:22 AM
I would like to see if he at least has any something left. I am serious, it would have taken one hell of a truck and trailer to get everything out of there. But I can not make another special trip. He lives two hours away and I have to take a toll road part of the way. The trip by itself is exspensive. Besides, his property is not sitting right on the main road. I will have to tresspass to find any evidence at all. I am pretty certain he sold out to some one else. If you all could hear the conversations we had you would understand why I fell that way. He did not consider my calls pesturing. His own sons bearly if ever speak to him. They are the reasons he had so many ATV's. but they lost interest and stopped coming around. When they stopped piling up ATV's on his property he continued. Until one day (his words) he simply gave up hope on his sons coming back around and things being like they use to be. I know it sounds sad, but remember, he had a chance to send it all to carring homes. He chose a salvage yard. He is no victim.

If my folks would've had an atc salvage yard,I'd still live there-lol.My neighbor( where I grew up) had 3 boys and they all had motorcycles.Time went by and 4-5 bikes just sat under a shed. Most of them were early to mid 70's suzukis and yamahas .
My brother and I bugged him from time to time about selling, but he was never interested.Just found out a couple weeks ago that he had got rid of all but one. Bottom line, someone showed up with the right amount at the right time.

Yeah I know what you mean. Before I got my atc I was trying to get one from this guy that has a shop next to the freeway. Theres this 185s or 200. One of the later models with shocks up front sitting behind the place all flat and it seems its missing the h/l. He wasn't there at the time and never got back to me. That trike is still there what is it now like 3 years and hasn't moved an inch. One of these days I will get a picture.

:( That definately sucks man. On a side note I have bought a motor and a axle from that guy JerryLance in Jacksonville, TX and have had nothing but positive experience. The motor I got for my old 125M was bad, and he refunded me the entire price pretty quick. His price on the motor was good too. Axle was cheap too. Anyway. That definately sucks the big one. I would be upset too. The guy may have thought you didnt have the money for the entire lot and wouldnt have the ability to get it out of his way. That may be why he did it. Still sucks. He should have atleast asked you if you could.

LonesomeTriZ
04-05-2005, 11:49 AM
He and I had worked out the deatils. I would make two trips per weekend with my twenty foot car trailer and a barowed car trailer hooked to our second truck until everything was hauled out of there. He seemed to have no problems with that what so ever. The only explanation I can come up with is somebody esle offered him more money. Now most of the good stuff will be wasted in a salvage yard.

ClayW
04-05-2005, 12:10 PM
What did you offer him for the lot?

LonesomeTriZ
04-05-2005, 12:40 PM
We did not have an in stone price. I was to make my final trip before I started hauling this weekend to go over everything one more time before we settled on a final offer. We both agreed it would be around $5000.

LonesomeTriZ this is a shame, I try to be a level headed person but after reading this I want to thump his skull myself. And the seller sounds like he needs a dent in his head also. I'll leave it at that before I start off on a rant, but I really hate it that you sold your gear to buy this and then got screwed. This just sucks.

Thats not even cool. If I sold my car and my Yamis, and have some asswipe come and buy all that stuff under my nose I would be a unhappy person. Sorry to hear about that.
