I bought a few cans of Krylon Fusion Paint because my plastic was so faded it was pink. After wet sanding and plastic restore, no good.
So I wet sanded all over again and shot 4 coats of Krylon Fusion Paint on front fender and rear fender and let me tell you this stuff is great.
After painting and let bake in sun for 6 hours, I went riding and put this stuff to test.
Mud, sand and dirt stuck all over new paint. I let the mud dry.
I washed it and came right off.
No peeling, chipping or flaking.
This paint bonds great and lives up to the Krylon name.
I suggest if you have faded plastic to use this paint as a last resort but works great if you have to.
I will post pics later tonight of finished product.

Yes you are correct, when you prep it correctly it does a great job. But it does get scratched off eventually, esp if you ride alot in tight woods with trees and branches. In the south with tight woods and mud will take its toll on the paint.

Here is my 350x that is blue painted.

that looks pretty good. Yeah if it scratches off, no biggie. I have another can for touch up! :)

You can get it at auto parts store. (4.99 a can) No prep needed but I wet sanded with 1000 grit wet / dry sand paper to get nice finish and wanted it to stick good.
I used 2 coats of paint and yes, it is a "rattle can".
They only have one color in red and it's called "red pepper".

It's like normal spray paint with adjustable fan tip.
Shake can for 2 minutes and spray! :)

Looks nice. Did you paint the underside? That will be the real durability test.

Did not paint underside. Underneath, it has bright red color.
It was the outside that was a sun bleached, faded pink.
Someone left outside for a few years in direct sunlight I suppose for it to get that faded.

i was told by a few people that * can * this paint as a primer. so that * can use any custom color paint * want and it will stick then. since FUSION paint only comes in a few diferent colors. i never tryed using it as a primer but i do know it works damn good for just a regular paint job.
