xr 200 cam in 200X

What kind of increase woudl i get if i put in a brand new xr 200 cam into an 84 200X? Ive heard it gives a pretty good boost is it true?

yea youll get more throttle response cause its more for performance..id put an xr 200 carb on there too! a little more top end too

Do you have the XR cam? If not I would get one of the more agressive ones from some of the companies out there. I have a webcam 89a and want the one with more....but that's me. If you own the XR cam try it out, I know its got a little more than the cam from the X.

I was bidding on a brand new xr cam on ebay it was a stock one but i had to go to school and someone out bid me and i wasnt home in time to put a higher bid. But the lobes on the xr cams are bigger than that 200X lobes right?

yea bigger and i think they are set a bit different..you cant notice the difference with your eye tho..lol..a small difference makes a big difference..if you get me..

You can still order a xr200 cam from Honda, I think they are about $60.
