1986 teacte 250... best looking trike ever???????

i think as good as the atc 250r waterpumpers look on the dunes with a nice +3 swingarm and paddles , the 86 kxt250 is the best looking stock trike ever. this is the trike i lust after night after night.

what do you guys wish for?

I really can't decide, the Tecate, Tri-Z and 250R are all very nice in 85/86.
If I had my choice of those three, I would take the Tecate because they seem to be the most rare.

I'm a Honda fanantic through and through. But there's something about the Tecate that just... well, I can't explain it. I love them. Someday???

BTW what was the first year they made them.

i think 84., water cooled when the r's were still air cooled. never looked really fast till 86 though. looked racy at a stand still. kinda like the 92-95 zx7-r

Go to the home page and click backgrounds, theres a 250r/tri-z/tecate wallpaper on there, I had it on my computer for a while.

I really like the way the Tri-Z's look. I think it is the colors and the streached look.

Well I have to say I have been a team green fan for many many years and the tecate was on reason. I do love the dependability of the Hondas and love to ride them but the green color is just a choice ride. I have both of the best worlds and really love them, just wish the parts for the tecate were just as easy to get as the 85-86R's are.. If you cant decide what your favorite is, I say get both of them! Haha...........peace

yea scott i like both of them...id much rather have a tecate then a 250r tho..r's are becoming more and more overrated..i like the tecates and tri-z's just my opinion!

My favorites as far as looks, are the 85-86R's then the 86 red and white Tri Z, then the mint looking Tecates. One day I'll have all three. I'm actually getting close on the 86 Tri Z.

We were lucky in Aussie we got the 87 model as well I had at the time a 85 250 r l had the chance to ride this bike and it flew.. They both look great accept one is red and the other is green !!!!!

I totally agree Darius, but my opinion may be a little biased as well. I love the look of the 86 tri-Z's and also the black and red 85's.

I just bought another 86-87 Tecate (beater, but runs!) yesterday. Overpaid, too. Just too far of a drive to come home empty handed! I'm researching the idea of copying the radiator scoops. It can be done, a company nearby can make a mold from the original, anyone interested?
