You don't have to pry the bead over the rim !!

the are some front tires like the 23.5x8x11, that wont accept the split rim. Well, they might fit but it specifically says "NOT for use on 2 piece Honda rims"

A big disantvantage is they can leak at the seal in between rims. Thats why they stopped making them I think. I'd rather have the one piece jobs for sure.

2-piece rims should always be tubed and/or RTV'd at the 2-piece o-ring (my old 110 had this and i did that, no tubed and never leaked)

If you tube them though and get a flat, you can't repair it on the trail.......a tubeless you can.

The last set I mounted I used blue RTV sealant between each of the rim sides and a Bead Sealant on the tires. Worked good, no leaks.

Comes down to this: Its common to hear " I got some one-piece rims to replace those two piece stock rims." Something you'll never hear is "I'm looking for some split rims to replace those cheapo one piece rims I've got".

Honda started with two piece rims. Once they figured out that one piece rims were better, they changed over to them. Never go back.
