200x oil pump removal

I'm trying to get the oil pump off of my 84 200x so I can put in new clutch plates. Do you have to remove those 3 phillips screws that are tighter than crap, or is there something I'm missing? If you do have to pull the screws out, what is the best way to get them to budge without stripping them any worse than they already are?

use a hand held impact screw driver.

or you could do what ive done to all my motor with those screws. get out the dremel and cut a slot in them... but be careful to cover the rest of the motor as to not get any shavings in there.

I agree with getting the hand held impact driver...like $10 for a cheapo. I use that thing all the time. I don't think you are trying to get the actual oil pump off ..but that bell/filter thing that goes on top of the oil pump so you can remove to clutch?
