Hey guys, I have been doing some searching around on some other forums and they say with some work a 85-86 250r pipe will fit the air cooled Rs anybody know if this is true? or just a bunch of crap? if it is a bunch of crap what about cutting a stock expansion chamber and widening it would that be worth it?
Also I'm trying to find the rear brake parts for my 84 coming up short handed with ebay all I have is the caliper rotor and the hose from the caliper standing it up from too much throttle and not being able to bring it down sucks :wondering . and a shifter mines starting to slip

Thanks
Curtis

The exaust goes on the left on the air cooled, right on the water cooled, might still work tho, but don't go and buy one until you know for sure.

Correct, it will not work they are on the opposite sides.

The big problem is you can't just modify hangers and put the pipe on the right side because of the fuel petcock being right where the pipe would run. Trust me, I know.
As for brake parts, put up a list of the parts you need and I will look through my parts bucket to see what I may have..

Well looks like I get to port and polish it now, hopefully I didn't toast my piston my base gasket took a crap 2nd one from cometic to do that to me . Anybody else make gaskets for them I wasn't too happy with the Varesh gaskets head leaking issues at the worst place to have it happen Silver lake sand dunes.
For the brakes I need the master cylinder, the lever pretty much everything but the caliper that I do have and the hose that runs to the caliper everything else is missing.

Thanks
Curtis

I have had Vesrah on all my machines I rebuilt, no problems with the gaskets. As a matter of fact that is what is on my 84 250R right now. If you are still looking for brake parts, let me know and I will check for you.

If you type out the words "you" and "your" those asterisks will no longer haunt your posts. ;)
