My finacee has a tri-moto. We love it, but it is very tippy. And with her being a newby, it can be dangerous. I was thinking maybe I could widen it. My trike is about 5 feet wide and it handles awesome. Flipping it is near imposible. But her's could flop over at like 5 mph. I attached a picture of what I was thinking of doing. 2 Flanges with the wheels bolt pattern, that bolts between the rims and the axle. Weld the 2 flanges together with a LARGE piece of pipe, and the length of the pipe would dictate how much wider to go. For example, if I make the pipes 3" long, then the overall width addition would be 6 inches. Making the flanges and pipes would be easy, the hard part would be making sure they are true. If they are off even a tiny bit, the trike will weeble-wobble. Looking for opinions and maybe better ideas here?

We did the same thing to our old 200 tri-moto. My family owns a metal fab shop, so it was easy to do. Just take your time and measure carefully. If you're off a little, you'll put a lot more bending force on the hubs and axle. We had that problem and ruined a hub. But, better to ruin a hub than to ruin an axle.

Look into aftermarket extensions. I think durablue makes them.

I had my buddy make me some, they are perfectly straight. also adapt the yamaha 3 bolt hub to honda 4/110 pattern. they are made of stainless too, a little heavy, but they look good! Im currently looking for a better solution to widen my little 175 out.

I looked up a couple kits on the web and they are too much money. I can't justify $80-$116 on a vehicle that didn't cost that much. Looks like I will be breakin out the tape measure and welder.

Is it a 225 or a 200E? Durablue made an extended axle for them.

I've got a new, never used +6 inch rear axle for the YT125/175. Made by durablue. Its super sweet. There is a member here that may offer his left nut for it. Right holic? :) Its the only one Ive ever seen.
