Guys,

Got a part missing on the sx and need to know what it is what it does? It is located on the battery retainer strap, looks to be mounted by a rubber bushing that slides over an ear on the strap. It also has a thick red wire with an oval shape boot attached that connects to it. Whatever it is is missing on my trike and the wire is dangling. Thanks for the help, ric.

You are missing your fuse holder. There are two big red wires, one that comes from the solenoid mounted on the left hand side of the battery box, and the other that goes into the harness. Your electric starter will not work without it, and the light will only work when the motor is running. Hers a pic of the fuse holder, I removed it from the keeper for the pic. (plus I see that mine has 20 Amp fuses {there is a place for a spare} when the book shows 15 Amp. will have to change that and see what happens)

Heres a pic from the side of the solenoid. See the huge wire from the battery, and the big wire that goes to the fuse

You dont need the fancy stock fuse holder. Go get a generic one from the autoparts store. Just make sure that it has 12 gauge or bigger wire, and splice it into place.
