I just saw some nice trikes on CNN Headline News. They were blabbing about trying to limit the rider age to sixteen on ATV's. They had a nice 250SX and a Yami 225 and a few others. It just shows you how far the media has its head up their backside. I think I will send them a nice e-mail and try to explain it to them. I know it will be a waste of time but I would like to see if I even get a response.

I say it should be up to parents to decide what their kids can and can't ride. But there are some un-fit parents out there.. so that might be an issue !!

I just bought a Tri-Zinger for my Dogs. They are French Brittanies and weigh about 40 lbs. By law is the Tri-Zinger to big a machine for my Dogs to rip up the yard on?? Or should I let em ride the Tecate?

I must be a very bad parent. We have two I say again TWO, Tri Zinger for our three month old. He loves looking at trike photographs with his dad at night when I am on this forum. I also take him for rides around the neihborhood and he loves it. So where is the harm? :wondering

LonesomeTriZ there is no harm at all, but I'm sure there will be people who swear we are trying to kill children. I don't have any kids myself but my nephew has been riding with me since he was 3 years old. He learned how to ride on my Big Red.
I agree with bigredhead, it should be left up to the parents!
Meat-Box you might as well start them on the Tecate and let em get a taste of power. :p

Your right. Im a stong believer in having age limits, and saftey coarses or classes. Some people just dont belong on ATVs, and that goes for all ages.

Well I busted out the Tecate and my Oldest, Tasslehoff threw on the Helmet and was ready to go. Hes 3 years old and loves to ride. Vigo just turned 1 year old yesterday so he thought he was too cool for a helmet. He wanted to ride the Tecate but I had to Spank him for not wearing a helmet. They think they are so cool on the Tecate. Heres a couple of pics of my Future Trike Fiends.

Make sure you tell him to LEAN . for the love of god..
Last thing we need is a 1 year old riding a tecate and not leaning into the turns !
Oh. and you did tell him to keep the wheelies to a minimum until he's at least 2 ! right ?

if watched and they can handle the trike, then where is the harm, dont give a 250 to a 3yr old, but teach them and should be fine, use gear too, teach them safe, helmit saved my life when i rolld 40 ft down a cliff took a 4x4 truck to get wheeler back up

They are Dogs, they are reaslly smart but the only thing I let them drive is my Lawn Tractor. And They actually love it. I love my dogs. If I had children I would have them riding at about 3 years old if they wanted too. I showed my Niece the Tri-Zinger, shes 4 and the excitment she showed made that Purchase well worth it. I allways wanted to teach my kids how to ride but it seems we willl not be having kids, which kind of bums me out. But you take what life gives you, and life gave me a Frigid Wife. So I guess I will be training any kid that has permission, because I love to pass on the Joy of riding Trikes, dirtbikes, and Quads. It makes me feel good. If Mik6 gets a Ride setup on his land the Tri-Zinger will be there for any Parent to teach their little ones how to ride.

I have a 16 month old neice that I was thinking of getting her a helment and crusing her around on Junkyard dog some. Problem is, Junkyard Dog is a Honda and she only likes Yamaha's. I havent figured out how she can tell the difference but, when I set her on the little Tri-Zinger, shes happy, I set her on the ATC70 and she crys. I tried this with other machines too and she always gets quiet and happy when she is on a Yamaha, doesnt really matter which one either. I guess I can paint it Yellow or something LOL. I figure I'll be teaching her to drive the Zinger in about a year or two.

Since CNN Headline news talking about a new sales restrictions you would think they would come up with some new footage. That some really old stuff there showing. Look at the condition of the trikes and the helmets there wearing. Kinda makes it look like there selling trikes again, and selling them to young children. Probably just a way to trick the elderly into voting for the new atv restrictions. Seems like the media is always trying to throw a twist on things, or maybe there just trying to relive there glory days just makes me a little suspicious.
