I am currently working on the suspension of the X.
Todays topic: Front Forks

I have everything apart now, and I am ready to order some replacement parts. I am, however, considering ordering longer pistons for the forks from a different model of ATC. The pistons I have right now only permit 203 mm of suspension travel. I have heard that the 250R has more suspension travel, but will the pistons work in my 350X fork?

If anyone knows how long the pistons are, along with the two diameters (shaft and head), I would appreciate it. If they are longer but the same diameter, I should be able to bump up the suspension travel on the forks, much like MR ATC did.

By the way, I finished extending my swingarm today. It ended up being 70 mm longer than stock. That is just under 3 inches. Pics to come soon.

i can tell ya that they need shocks in the mid eighties when atc's were the things... and they havent in a few years.. they were big into the 250r's. not sure if they made them for the 350x's.. they were a nice rebuildable forks/shocks..

ok, well I think I have decided to just rebuild them the way they are. I am ordering the seals and stuff today from service honda.

Thanks, though.
