I just picked up a 84 kxt250 A1 for free today..The motor looks and runs perfect, but the plastic will need to be replaced to say the least. Im thinking about selling it after i get it looking good again.. I was wondering what one of those might go for?...Also, Whats the differance between the a1 and the a2?? THANKS!.....

They aren't worth that much. NICKG only got $550 for his 85 and it was very very nice.

I think location is another factor too.

If you got it for free you can Sell it as is or Part it out and make some money. I hate to see a whole machine taken apart and spread across the world. Another option is to Restore it, lose lots of Money and have a Sweet ride for another 20 years. Thats what I did. As for Cost it seems Hondas are like buttholes "everyone has one" A Tecate in good shape will go up in value over the years because there are not many around like the Hondas. Whatever you do let us here know 1st.

Oh yea kxt a Front Drum Brake
kxt b Front Disc Brake

I think :wondering

KXT-A1 --- Front Drum Brake, Rear Disc
KXT-A2 --- Front Disc Brake, Rear Disc

B-Series was the 1986 model total redesign.

There's some minor rear suspension differences between the A1 & A2. Swingarm and linkage were painted gold on the A1 and silver on the A2. The motors have a few internal differences and A2 has a bigger carb. I'm pretty sure the kill & headlight switches were different. I'd have to check my manuals.
