shipping a trike?

i want to buy a trike that is in FL. problem is im in IL. what is the best and cheapest way to go about having this thing shiped? send it to my dads business? i heard its cheaper to ship to a company?

IMO, The best thing to do is find a trucking co. to pick it up, or maybe Foward Air. ;) Not fedex or UPS that for sure to much $$$.

I used Mapp Cargo and it cost me $250 from California to Texas.

Also try Land Sea Express. The advantge of Forward Air is that they will provide you with the container.

Otherwise you build it yourself.

i know its 750$ to ship trucks from the ford motor company to the ford dealership in maine (rail).

Do you HAVE to use a container?

I used a moving company. Just found one that happened to be going that way and got my R from Ohio to AZ for either $325 or $350. Can't remember anymore. No crate. Door to door.
