Can anyone tell me what a fair to good condition 86 200x is worth. It needs plastic to be perfect (cracked and broken but still rideable) and has a oil leak from the rocker box. I rode it today and it still runs very good but it is time for a bigger rig. I need to get a idea of what would be a fair price without being crazy.

Thanks guys

well judging by e-bay. a minty 200x is goin fer about 1700-2000. i would start at 1700 and figure out how much in parts it needs and start subtracting off of that.IMO.

I'll see where that gets me lets see fenders 170 plus a front fender at 45.99. Then a topend gasket set at 23.95.

I may just fix the engine myself and let the plastic go. I guess I was hessitant to get new plastic when I was going to keep it. I think it makes a you a less inhibited rider with older plastic.

I don't think I will fix the plastic. If they want it fixed they can buy new. You think 1500 is to much?

I think 1500 is too much. An excellent condition (not mint) 86 X should only fetch 11-1400 from what I have seen. You said yours is fair to good and with the broken plastic I think your way off base on the price.

I was gonna say the same thing...just waitin for someone else to say if first. To get a better idea look in your local cycle trader to see what prices other ATC's are selling for and what conditition they are in.

Maybe, I am thats why I ask. I did see acouple on ebay for over 1700 and just so we all know my mint might be your fair. It is still very clean but I imagine I will watch ebay for similar rigs and see. My buddy would like to buy it and he knows it is a good machine. I was thinking for him 1100 to 1300 but maybe that is still high. Of course I have to find a 350X first

Yea, I realize your just inquiring about a fair price. Didn't mean to imply that that is the price (1500) that you are set at asking.

Your 11-13 seems a fair price as long as it's in well kept condition and only needs plastic and you fix the leak.

Mint to me means you could put it in a showroom and it could pass for brand new.

Excellent condition I'd say it doesn't need a thing but might have slightly scuffed plastic and maybe a bit of paint off frame but need no parts what so ever. Yours qualify for EC once leak is fixed & new plastic put on?

Years ago (5 or so) I had 2 and sold them both for 1100 and were EC. I'd say if anything they would go up a bit in value since then. Prices vary from state to state I'm sure depending how hard they are to come by. This was in Pennsylvania where I had mine.

Cool when I bought it it was in excellent condition, but now the plastic is a bit cracked and the everything else is good except the rocker cover leak. My frame and engine all look good.

They (86&87) are better. Many (minor & major) improvements over the "older" ones.
