I just swapped a good motor into my 84 r and the rubber intake had a jacket for (what looks like from what ive seen) a boost bottle maybe? i figured to test run it i should plug it up a little, so i did and it runs good but it does sputter a little, could that be because air is getting in? And would it be wise to throw my old regular intake on it, or to find a boost bottle, Ive heard some +'s and -'s about them, any help would be appreciated! thanks

I have one on mine and never took it off since I've owned it.I don't even know if it does anything?!

Hmmmm.... that's a nice R you got there from the pics!
I have an intake, just need a boost bottle! Any of you try using a Blaster one? In a way, I don't want to mess with my current 82R, BUT... when I get a chassis to put my 300R motor in, I want to hook up the boost bottle!

I have two boost bottles I'm going to be hooking one up on my ' 82 250R. I'll let you know if it makes a difference. Don't matter to me one way or the other, I think they look pretty neat on the old R's.

I always liked the look of boost bottles on trikes.
