I've ran stock, 36mm from 250R, and now I have a 39mm. I saw a noticable improvement with the 36mm.

using stock carb here.
Same here. I use the stock carb and it's tuned well to my Bill's pipe & CT silencer.
I have a 38mm Mikuni Flat slider laying around that came off my sorely missed 84 KXT, which today is a mere rusty frame of it's former self :cry: . Anyway, I'd like to put the 38mm on my Z since it has all the other goodies but I just cant bring myself to screw up something that's working well! ;) Plus I guess I'd have to hunt up an IT250 intake boot. I guess I might could use a YZ intake because I don't run an airbox.

i was asking because i thought about changing mine from stock to a 36 or 38 but I too have a great running machine that I don't want to mess around with.

The way I see it, if your swapping the carb to a bigger one, your really not messing with a good thing. If you don't like it, switch it back!
