Last weekend, I got my mud lites mounted to the rims and decided to replace the rear bearings/seals. Now one week and 86 dollars later, I hav the tires, bearings, seals, rear brakes, and cable replaced. As a trail tire I find them to be a little stiff making for a harsh ride. Turning characteristics are fine by me. Traction is outstanding for my terrain. So far, I'm very pleased.

Next on the agenda: Take care of oil burning issue and new paint.

Which machine? The 185?

Oops. I'll get pics soon. Just cleaned it and fabbed up a couple of extended mud flaps (I'm too old to enjow the gritty feel of mud sliding down the inside of my shirt. :D )
I put the tires on the 185s. The 200 is a resto in progress. I have the frame stripped and waiting on a coat of Eastwood Chassis Black, the motor is in need of a rebuild and new cam, and I need to locate a correct tank and fender set.
The 185 is my actual running trike. Once the 200 is done, the 185 will go under the resto knife. But for now I'll settle for drab green. ;)

Looks good, I'm putting a set on my 200e if I ever get to it. I just put a set of dirt devils on my 200es. Their alot heavier than the mudlites, if they don't root very well I'm putting mudlites on it aslo. I got a buddy (La Cycles) in central that sells them cheaper than anyone in town. He swears by them, but the dirt devils came with a package deal so I'm gonna try them. If you need any parts let me know I'm over run with 200 stuff.

I run Mudlites on my 86 Big Red, but put them on the 350X for winter. You can't beat them in the snow. They have a semi stiff sidewall so they would make a hard ride on a hard tail.

I have them on my 225 dxn all around. The reason they may be harsh is the tires could be inflatted to much.Or your shock in the rear isn't good enough for them.Try a different shock, you will love them then.

If the saying holds any truth "You're only as old as you feel"....I'm 97.
But, according to my License, I'm 31.

I now have 2 issues. The burning oil ( I think it's rings) and I am noticing a vibration in the upper RPM range. But that's a whole 'nother topic.

P.S. I aired the tires down to 3-5 psi improving the ride some. But I think a new seat cushion will help a lot.
An update on the mudlites: Yesterday, I ran the 3wheeler on some new trails I found along Sandy Creek that consisted of a variety of terrain including, loose watery mud, thick clay mud, sand, hard dirt, loose dirt, steep hills, and a billion tree roots.
Verdict: Outstanding traction. Thoroughly pleased with the purchase.

With this rain we're getting now, you ought to try them out tomorrow. I garentee you'll be impressed. As far as the vibration, with the slack gone in the bearings and f/ sprocket, you might be getting whats already been there. You don't know of any '84 big reds around there do you?

I plan to ride tomorrow. My neighbor has a 84 200 big red. And a buddy at work has a few that are basket cases.

I need the rear axle. If you can get 1 maybe we can work out a deal. I've got lots of parts for yours. Hell I'm off tomorrow, I'd like to make a ride. I haven't tried the dirt devils out yet.
