How to set timing on a Tecate

I just bought a 1985 tecate and I was trying to get it running and I noticed that the stator plate is just flopping around in there . I don't know if the bolts are loose or broke . I will pull the flywheel off tomorrow and check it out . I am not sure how to set the timing on this trike so if someone could help that would be great . Also if anyone has any part's they want to sell for a 85 or 86 Tecate let me know what you got .
