Trying to decide, I was leaning on the DG because I am planning on using a DG carb but I dont want to spend the extra money if its not going to make any difference over the Cobra (+ I am a cobra dealer so I can get that one alot cheaper lol). Whats your .02 on the matter

well, if i were you i would just save up some money and get a dg pipe and carb together and have them jet the carb for the new pipe, that way its all new + you dont need to worry about tuning stuff and you will have the most power you can get from it.....

I have a cobra on my 86 200x, its the worst!!!! But there is no other option besides a dg or cobra, get the spark arrester attachment for a cobra pipe and its quite a bit quieter.

What about an aluminum super trapp? I like the fact you can tune them (by the amount of discs) performance wise and sound wise and think they look great also.
..........or for $50 you could get a steel one and easily adapt it on to the header pipe.

LOL because we cant get the supertrapp.
Lomax stay with stock and spend your fine earned money elsewhere. Like finding someone that build you an exhaust.

My stock pipe is whats left of a head pipe with a 4 inch echo chamber truck exhaust tip on it  . I had thought of maybe trying to adapt an HMF on it, I could take some measurements from the one on my BigBear and see if its possible. The exhaust is a LONG way from being installed as I am tearing back down right now because i decided that I wanted to frame a different color other than the factory red. I just wanted some input because I recived my income tax so I am about to do alot of the motor work and have it ready so I was just going to go ahead and get the exhaust and have it ready and waiting.

I had an aluminum Cobra on my 85 200X and replaced it with a DG Crom Lite. They both sound the same to me, although the DG might be a little louder. As far a power they both pull the same through the power band. I'd go with the DG it really looks sweet and you get that purple heat tarnish look on the head pipe.
