View Full Version : Jared Does some Tecate Decals

I sent my old shrouds to Jared before I won the new ones on ebay and this is what I got back. I think they look awesome. The green in the background was hard to match just like the TRI Z background colors and luckily they match the new OEM green better so I will be ordering another set from him. The T3 plastic darkens considerably with age!! I am sending him out my old shock resevoir sticker tommorrow to see what he can do.

Yeah...the green is light. I wish he could figure out how to get some better colored vinyl...but it looks good.

Its good for him because now his work on your trike lets him sell them for the next 30 years!!

Yeah the flash on my camera washes it out a little in the picture. It looks MUCH better in real life and when I hold the green up to new plastic its Very Close. He said no machine does neon green. In a few years maybe upgrades can occur but i'm very happy with the finished product. Heres the resevoir decal

howd you pry off those decals ? I am trying to get mine off of my 200s, but I cant figure out a good way to do it, pleasefill me in.

I think luck was on my side. The shroud decals he did in his shop. The resevoir I took off because I wanted to polish it. It was lifted on on corner And I did it very slowly. Not only can they tear they can also stretch which would make a terrible scan.

no heat or anything? What was the temp outside when you did it?

I was in my workshop with no heat, I didn't have the salamander on so it was like 45F.
The adhesive looked like it was breaking down after 19 years so it pulled off very slowly. At one point I was worried I was stretching it because it really got slow goin-- but it looks intact. Maybe the cold helped me?

There's another thing about Tecate Radiator decals. If you look really close, at the OEM Factory Decals there is a black stripe around the edges of the blue stripe. The pic of all 3 pieces looks like it might have them. The first pic I can't tell.

I'm glad to see him sell those.
