85 R Swinger On A 86

Any One Know If An 85 Swinger Is The Same As An 86. Honda Atc 250r That Is. Thanks Alot

the 86 and 85 r swingarms are different.. 85 was like the oddball.. now you can take the 85 swingarm and put it on a 86, but youll need the 85 shock linkage/bearing carrier/axle.. its not really worth it to put a 85 swingarm on a 86.. but if thats what you wanna do have at it lol

not true, the suspension was the same, the only difference was the carrier....you will just need to use the 85 carrier, and swap all your other stuff....the axle and brakes and whatnot are all the same....

I am with hrc on this one too. Although I think the brake stay will have to be from an 85 as well. GREG

ps.. in my opinion you should go with the 86 swinger just because they interchange with many years.
