I am new to the board and I just almost finished restoring a 1980 Honda 185. I am having a problem getting it started I have everything air, spark, fuel, but compression. The kid I bought it off of had put rings and new exhaust valve. But I do not think he lapped the valve and it is not seated right. I am getting some compression from the sparkplug hole but I can feel a lot of it coming through the valve cover. If it is easy, where is the tdc hole? I can see a bolt in the valve cover that looks like the tdc bolt but I am not sure. If there is anyway some one could give me instructions if it is easy. I just don’t want to put any more money into this than I have to. The book is $30 I rather buy parts for the engine.

Thanks

Rob
