did anybody else notice the talk about the 500R?

Also gone forever was the ATC500R w/independent suspension that Marty Smith was rumored to be testing.

Yep. I did notice it. I have the interview where Hart said it was the sweetest thing he ever rode.

This part pisses really pisses me off!!

Honda recoiled in monitory fear and stopped production of all three-wheelers to prevent ATV's from being banned. They even  crushed  dozens of crated 350X's sitting in their New Jersey warehouse!

It's nice to read others opinions, but some of the dates don't mesh.?.?.?

"Who can forget the first ATC250R three-wheeler in 1983," what happened to the 81-82 models?? He says 83 was the "first", then he mentions the 85r and says a year later they came out with the 350x, which would have been 86, so I guess all you guys with 81-82r's and all 85x's don't exist??

Thanks for sharing.

I've had all those same thoughts for years. Good reading. If only that ATC500R had come to be...

That would have been awesome if that ATC500R came to be, because that would force kawasaki and yamaha to build one of there own, there for they would keep on trying to out-do each other, which would have made a really competitive market.

The 85 350X came out later in the model year than the rest of the 85 ATC's, but still agree with ya.
