I have a question or two..... First, I was changing my chain the other day and noticed that my front sprocket is tight to the shaft, but the shaft has some in and out free play?? Maybe 1/4 inch or so. Is this normal?? No it doesn't leak or anything, at least not that I can notice.

Next, do any of you have extended swingers on your X's, I have an extra, and want to do a 2 or 3 inch extension like I did on the 86r I had. Is it worth it on a X?? Thanks :mad:

Whether or not you should do an extended swingarm really just depends on the kind of riding you do. Not on what kind of bike you ride (unless it's something nutty like a CR500 powered R). Lots of steep hills? Sand dunes? Yes. MX or tight trail riding? No.

My R Motor Has About The Same Amount Of Free Play. Im Pretty Sure Its Normal.

My crate motor has zero play on the shaft. Has a fraction of what you are saying on the sprocket itself.

Like you said a crate , my 85 x does the same not as much but it doesnt leek or anything

That'll be one of the last things to go.... I'll check my other 350X's when I go to the farm, but the crate motor is up here at the house, so it was just a walk over to check for you!

All my misc Honda stuff, Yamaha's, and that 300R motor will be on the block before any of my Honda's or the Hondaline assesories/NOS 350X parts!
