Help with cranking problem

HELP i have a 1985 kawasaki klt 250 that was running good and cranking before you could push the starter button before i turned the motor off and left the key on . Now all i get is kicking back .backfiring and spitting out the carb. anybody with a clue? Thanks

not sure what the first half of your post says, but as for the kicking back and carb popping, check your timing.
