Dude, in most cases its cheaper to buy straight from PRM. Every guy I found selling one that was used wanted as much as a new one or very close to it. www.prm-atv.com I think thats the addy. I bought my skid plate and rear grab bar from them. Very pleased to say the least. Fit perfect. :beer

350Xccelerator, you just sold me on the 6pack one!! I was going to get the Desert Grab, but I'm thinking, "a little farther out would help more, than hurt".

200xman, do you have a side view of the rear so I can see how far it goes?

With the Dessert bar I have never had the bike come over backwards on me. I know that with the 6 pack racks they are pretty close to the ground during a wheelie.

both look really cool, dunno if i would ever haul anything in the 6pk rack or not, will a small cooler or 1 gal gas can fit in it?

thanks for the pics too, that helps alot

Do NOT get the Dessert ar unless you ride in sand only. It's beefier... stronger than your frame.... if you flip, you kill your frame, not a $50 replaceable grab bar.

Go for the Baja or the 6 Pack Baja.... I got the 6 pack ones on the 350X and the regular Baja on my 250R... all PRM.

No, I'm not too crazy about it but it came with the bike. Everything else I own has PRM plates on them. PRM makes a quality piece but I cant justify replacing the DG since it does its job.

200xman, are those tank scoops, the Maier Super scoops?? They look good, but alot bigger than my stock, cracked ones. :(

Ditto on the frame tweak theory....
I would bet that can happen with the 6 pack rack too.

I say the possibility of a tweaked frame can, and probably will happen no matter what grab bar you have on, if you look at the 4 options they have on http://prm-atv.com/MN.asp?pg=products&grp=40&mfr=2, the material they use to hold their product to our frames seems to be the same on all of them, maybe 1 1/4 by 3/16 thick??

If I trash my frame, I do have another, Bruce you seemed to have lost interest?

The PRM grabs are awesome IMHO. I only use the Desert grabs as I like the beefiness and the way you can grab on to them when you need to.

I prefer the RAD skids though. For the cost of the PRM.250 skid(110.00 + ship) I can buy the Rad skids(79.95 free ship). They are both .250!!!! The engraved "RAD" looks awesome 2. PRM makes awesome products, but they are very costly. I have spent over $1200.00 on their products in the last 2 years and when I contacted them to see about frequent buyer discounts as I have 2 more machines to buy complete skids for, they laughed!!!!!!! I am laughing at giving my monies to a comapny who appreciates a NEW customer!!! http://www.radmfg.com/images/skid_h2.jpg

Yeah they are the super scoops. They rub the forks a little at full lock but it doesn't seem to affect them.

the only thing i didnt like about my X with the six pack rack is that you can't stand it up on the grab bar anymore.
