View Full Version : color of 1985 200x gas tank

Does anybody know what color the gas tanks were on a 85' 200x?? I just got a 200x on sunday and the gas tank is all sanded down so i need to paint it. Were they white? Also what type and size of tires were stock on the 85' ?? Any pictures of original trikes would be great, thnx

Gas tanks were white on every year 200x made. Stock tires on the 83-85 were 22 inch Ohtsu Pro-Vectors.

rear is an 11inch?? i dont think so..lol..maybe 21 inch or 22 inch but not 11..i thouhgt they also made red tanks for them?

Well I just got my 200x on sunday and it's almost all original. I got it from greyhoundrugby for $550. He couldnt get it running for some reason, but after today i think i figured it out. The carb was FILTHY! I've never seen so much gummed up/dried out gas in a carb before. But anyway i'm trying to make this thing 100% original, down to the last bolt, thats why i needed the gas tank color. Thanks :Bounce

Just FYI, that pic above was actually taken in 1985. The only thing different from original on it is the blue headlight guard and handle grips, the Supertrapp exhaust, the red brake guard and it's supposed to have blue fork boots on it.

I know the 350X tanks for 85 and 86 are actually slightly different inorder to match the 'white' plastics in 86. One is called "Shasta White" I think the 86. If you go to the Honda Parts catalog, it will give you the color code for the tank in the part description. (something like NH107 or something)
