I'm not talking special factory racers or prototypes or anything like that. Just regular production trikes which were available to the US general public.

No reason for asking. Just curious.

As far as the big three's most recent offerings went, that's correct (according to the magazines of the time). Don't know about Tiger though. They were kind of a niche product even back then so I wouldn't really put them in the same category personally.

As far as I remember, the difference in mph between the big three were negligible. A few mph between the three. Something like the 1987 Tecate being 2mph faster than a 1986 R and the 1986 R being 3mph faster than the Tri-Z. That's nothing a 1 tooth sprocket change wouldn't level out.
