Too rich either on the main or needle. Try raising the clip on the needle (lower needle) and see if it behaves better.
Make sure that its fully warmed up when you modify tuning or you could end up chasing your tail.

thanks. It is on the last clip spot at the top. Is that too high? I will fire it up in the am and see how this worked.

If it's popping it sounds to me like it's too lean. When I had my original 185s carb and a high flow muffler, mine ran excellent with a #100 main jet, stock pilot jet, and the needle clip on the 3rd groove from the top.
Put a brand new spark plug in it.Take it for a ride (go as fast as possible) down a long stretch. Shut it off when you hit a good speed. Put it in nuetral. Coast to a stop. Pull the plug and look at it. If it's white looking, you need more jet (richer). If it's a nice tan color, it's right on. If it's black and sooty looking, too rich.

uh remember this would be hard to just pop in neutral becuase its an auto clutch..u shift it engages..might be a little hard to do if it would..i recommend that u just hold the shift lever down..it wont engage into gear from fifth..or up..itll go through 4th to neutral but when u stop uve got to put it in neutral..all it does is keep the clutch from engaging

That's what I meant to say. I was half asleep when I posted that.
