Should i jet my 86 250r carb with the air box lid off or with it on. The entire trike is stock exept a K&N airfilter and an outerwear. what are the advantages of running with out the lid? and if i do jet it with out the lid on could i just put it back on real quick for some quick muddn or snow riding? Thanks for the help

It will just run a little richer with the airbox lid on. Should be fine.

I would jet with it off. It won't hurt to run a tad rich while your running in the mud. But it might hurt something if you run too lean because you jetted with the lid on and then pulled it off for dry riding.
Dammit!

if you jet it perfect for the lid off, when you put the lid on it's gonna run rich. I wouldn't jet it for the lid off unless you intend to leave it off.
