I got the DG Racing exhaust from out of Dennis Kirk that is all black for my '83 200x. It was a perfect fit and it give's it a little more pep. I didn't even have to rejet the carb. It sound's badass. I think I paid around $100.00....

The thing for exhaust is to allow for more air flow. If you are not rejetting, what have you accomplished other then noise?

Either you have created a lean condition or straitened out a rich one(most common cause why people don't have to rejet). Without a doubt you are correct, you should always check your carb settings when changing something in the air/fuel or exhaust flow of an engine.
