how hard would it be to put crf450r forks on a atc250r? I have a crf450r roller and wa looking at it today thinking. I don't think the front axle bolt will be a problem as its a 14mm bolt, my big thing is the tripple clamps, what do you guys do to make it work? Also the forks are a very similar length. Do I cut the stock crf tipple and atc250r tripples and weld them together? Anybody done something similar?

the only problem i see is the amount of travel ,,, the extra will set the frontend quite a bit higher than stock,,,, also makee sure you stay with the same fork angle,,, the 250r clamps have several degrees built in to them,,, if you look at them on the trike,,,, you will see that the stem is not parallel with the fork tubes,,,,,, :D :D :D

the forks are neary the same legnth, but the crf forks are leading axle and are stiffer. I thought about converting the whole bike to a trike, but I don't have that deap of pockets and I still need to rebuild a crf450r motor(chain went through the cases and I dumbley bought a 03 crf450r 1200 miles from home, so my vacation wasn't ruined)

How much would you sell me that 450 with the broken sidecase for?

sorry its not for sale, I'm gonna rebuild it and put a baja designs tranny in it and transplant it into the crf450r dual sport I'm buying.
