Kearney Yamaha is home to one of the best 3 wheeler displays in the world. From what I gathered a lot of these trikes have been restored. Over all it is a grand sight to see. These pictures were taken recently by fellow member Diggerzmound and he has asked me to post them up for everyone to see.

I like the old display better. The 250r was not all original as I thought. You can tell it has new OEM back fenders....

Very nice pictures though! Not bieng critical...very good stuff

After seeing that I had to go play with my R...wow he has 2 blue Tri moto's!!

Would anyone arrange the trikes differently. I would put them in date order.

I would put all the 86 trikes together...kind of jumping in the air.

I would start with the 90 and work forward in time.

I started touching up my R's paint. I found a color that looks pretty good. The area in the pic was touched up...its very very hard to notice the difference in person and in the sun.

Darius, what is this color that you found for touch up? I remember the old display too. I like them both. I would like to have the 250's in a group together so I could compare them.

edog,

I am loving the pics of those Tri moto's. I love the Yellow and blues together...it looks just awesome.

eDog...have you ever seen the 86' model black and red 225 DX. Its very rare and gorgeous! I can scan a pic for you one day.

Apollo:

I take a pic of the bottle. Actually I just ordered some passion red touch up paint from the Honda dealer and its still available so it may be pointless to even go with my touch up color. Once I get the passion red...I'll re-do all my areas anyway.

How the hell can u tell that those fenders are new? lol...the whole bike looks new to me!!

Darius1502

What I mean Fox is that the original fenders for the 86 R don't have a black warning label on the left rear side. The warning is embossed into the plastic. You also won't see just 1 warning label on the headlight shell. There will be an embossed one first close to the bars then the black, white and orange one closer to the lens.

This collection is awesome! I just thought the bikes were left over show rooms. Now I think that the owner is a collector and did some of the restoration himself/herself.

To me thats more impressive. Also if you look at the Black Tri Z you'll notice that the lettering on the airbox cover is incorrect.

Still...its awesome...I am just being a stickler and an ass....sorry!

BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS THE BEST TRIKE COLLECTION IN THE WORLD AND ONE DAY I WOULD JUST LOVE TO GO VISIT THIS PLACE. IT GIVES ME THE CHILLS LOOKING AT IT!

Now those are probably some of my favorite trike pics. But is there a possibility of someone video taping the collection? With some good zoom shots and that kinda thing? I'd be willing to pay for a 15-20 minute video of some very nice restored trikes.

They all look great.I noticed the Tri-Z has a black seatcover,,the black Z's came with red seat covers. Also the rear tires are different than stock.Still a nice tri-z though. That tecate is sweet too,its all nice bright GREEN! lol .I thought about planning a vacation around kearney but it doesnt look like there is much else to do in that neck of the woods.

Kearney Nebraska... There is a large indoor hockey rink in this town, and a huge museum that spans the interstate.. Besides that not much else tourist related.. http://www.archway.org/default.htm

Not to make anyone jelous, but i have a part time job there setting up bikes and quads. Most of the trikes are restored and a few are origional. I'm thinking of selling Gene Freeze ( the owner) my 85' klt 110, but not sure if i'm ready to part with it yet.

There is a US90 there. I was there a few months ago when I was in the area for a funeral. The owner was not there, so I did not have a chance to talk to him. He did just get a Polaris 250R, that I got to check out. He has some real nice stuff.

It's good to see some dealers with a little respect for the heritage that has made their business what it is today......Heck - many dealers hear that you have a trike and snicker - or just plain ignore you - bastards!

I was thinking the same thing, Ive seen those straps(new ones) snap in half when sinching down my sled on the trailer. I love looking at those pics but It scares me with those straps. $20 worth of straps(2) holding up 3- 6 grand apiece machines. love to visit that place, I envy his collection:beer

WOW I would pay $$$$$ to have all of them :D

They looked like they were not going to come down when I was there. I don't think the guy would spend all that money having them restored then skimp on the straps. LOL

Yea, but you have to have the $$$ to pay :naughty: If I had a few mil laying around, I'd buy them too... or have the same person restore mine.
