I have a 1984 200es and the electric start quit working. I can direct wire the starter and it works. I bypassed the ignition switch and still no start. It pull starts and runs fine but when its cold it wears me out trying to start it. I may need a wiring diagram to figure this one out. Anybody have one or know where I can get one. Please help me.

check the fuse that goes up to the ignition key, if that's not it, check the cylenoid, they can blow when stressed

Thanks for all the help. I did figure it out yesterday. THere is a broke wire in harness. THe green/red going to the solenoid. It was decieving cause without a load it was testing fine but as soon as the solenoid was plugged in the connection broke. I did not want to cut open the harness so I just ran a new wire. Thanks again.
