what engines fit in 86 tecates

do the kx 250 engines fit right in the 86 tecates? any modifications for the mounts? what years fit in?

any info from fellas doing the kx500 to tecate mod?

i have a lead on a rolling chasis that i should be picking up this weekend.

The 85/86 KX 250 engines will bolt right into the 86 T3 with out modifications needed. I did have a 95 engine installed in mine, the KX pipe had to be modified along with the front motor mounts. The rear motor mount needed 2 spacers, and a new head stay due to Kawasaki putting the head mount towards the front. It doesnt take to much work and is defintily worth your time.
