85 200X Gas Tank

[85ATC]

Hey guys, I just signed up this morning and was wondering if any of you could help me. I just got an 85 ATC 200X in 11 different boxes!! Guy wanted it out of his garage so I am in the process of putting it back together. I know that the gas tank leaks (due to rust) and was wondering where I could find another one. Did the 86-87's have plastic tanks, and would they mount on an 85?? Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated.

First off welcome to the boards, this site is awesome! As for your gastank the first place I would look is on ebay, you can find alot of parts for your x there. Also a company called clarke makes reproduced plastic tanks.

the 86-87 tanks are metal but you might be able to get it to fit
