Hello

I was hoping you guys could confirm the year and model of this ATC since i know nothing about them . I bought it at a lean sale for $75.00 and although i prefer riding on 2 wheels i thought it might be fun to get it back in good running order and have around .

Anyway my question is although the lean sale certification has it as a 1984 after doing some research i believe this to be incorrect information After checking the specs on this site against the VIN # JH3TB0523EC325638 and engine #TB05E6218665 ,, it matches a 97 200X is this in fact a 97 200X or am i reading the specs wrong ?

Also the bike has good compression and spark but missing the chain , chain guard/cover , head light assy and I'm sure a few other things I'm not aware of yet , I've changed the oil, flushed the fuel tank, cleaned the carb, replaced the plug and figure i will wait until i install a new chain before attempting to fire it up . Any other recommendations you guys have that i should do before trying to kick it over would be most appreciated .

Thanks for your help

killer deal! that's an 83-85 200x. i'd fire it up and see if it runs before the chain gets in.

The 'E' in the vin says its an 84 but I thought the 83 had the roung tube swing arm... A VERY nice find for $75!!! Id find a baffle before you run it too long.....

Thanks for all the info i guess the cert was correct which is usually not the case . All the plastic and seat are in excellent condition the tank however is pretty rough but nothing that can't be repaired and i was surprised to get it at that price myself it was really dirty when i bought it and i guess no one else was able to look past all the dirt to see it's real condition .

i guess i'll go on out and see if she'll fire up . I'll come back later and update the results

Thanks again !!

Nice, I have the same tires on my 200x. Is that a fat aftermarket axle on there too? It kinda looks like mine too.

Well 4 kicks and a short back fire 5th kick and it fired up can't take it for a run but the motor sounds good and tight . Don't know about the axle as i really don't know to much about 3 wheelers but it was the first thing i noticed after getting it home in that it looked heavy duty but that also got me wondering about the chain if the prior owner put this on and didn't do it correctly maybe why the chain broke
