I bought my 86 Z for 725.00 and have put about 2000.00 into it. It is still not perfect but I ride the crap out of it so I don't mind.

I bought a 250sx in December for 300.00 and have maybe 100.00 into that so far. I am switching the front end with a 200x. That is were most of the money went.

I just bought a Z with somebody for 610.00 and have 35.00 into that.

I gave 300.00 dollars for my 86 200X, stripped it down to the frame and have been slowly restoring it, right now I am up to about 550.00-600.00, and thats including the price of the bike, Bad part is, there is only A really Nice red frame setting on the bench and a few other misc. pieces.

So far, I've only spent $300 on both the Honda 200X and the Yamahe 200ern. I still have not got them running yet. I hope to use part of my tax return to get them going. I really want to go riding.

Who in their RIGHT MIND!!!!! would keep track. Honestly there should be a help hotline we should be able to call when a rare part we want comes out on ebay.

I got my 200X for free but put $800 into a complete motor rebuild and then another $500 in cosmetics like plastic, seat, bezel, and all sorts of small things that it was missing. Totaled out at $1300

On my 350X I bought it in cherry condition and haven't done anything to it but new grips and a bar pad so maybe I have $1530 into it.

Well with the parting out of my 85 BigRed parts bike. I made $750. It had no fenders and motor was bad. Still have motor. With that I have about $650 in my 87 BigRed and 85 350X. They are both very nice also. Not some hobo resto job either. LOL. I have been offered $1800 for my BigRed and $2000 for my 350X. Im pretty happy. Didnt sell either one. :D So Could have made a BIG profit. Maybe on day. :beer

I have a couple 350X's. 1 show and 1 go. The show probably has over 7k in it. 2k just in the motor. Every nut and bolt was chromed, she is pretty. But to keep it like that I don't get to ride it much, and when I do it's just a shake down run on pavement. I always have the go girl to beat on

Dammit!

Dude, pics! :TrikesOwn

Edit: I paid $1000 for my R in 1989. I don't count maintenance items, things that just wear out over time like tires, chains, sprockets or even top end rebuilds. 16 years of that stuff ads up but I don't keep track of it. I just count mods and improvements. Cosmetic items. That said, I've only got about another $700 on top of the original purchase price. That would include things like the new carb, Rad Valve, pipe and silencer etc. The porting and what not were done before I bought it. I'm about to dump so more into it though. Mostly on cosmetic stuff. I have $335.03 in my service honda shopping cart right now. Been there since last night. Just haven't been able to pull the trigger yet. :D

Ain't that the truth! But I figure when you add up all her clothes, shoes, purses, etc. that I'm still way behind her.

I bought my '85 250R brand new for $2400 over 20 years ago and probably spent $1000 on mods back then. I rebuilt it from the ground up 4 years ago and spent another $2000 and have since added the big bore kit and additional chrome, polishing and other goodies for another $1500 for a grand total of $PRICELESS.00

And I'm still not finished!

Ok Guys see maybe you should let the wife handle it, I got one for you, Im at a negative $50 for 1 and 1 almost complete (missing forks) 200x's both 85's. Now Im getting ready to send its frame along with the 350's to the powder coater so that will lose its negative.

But then the rest of my toys are not so um generous!

Hey guys,
Ive spent about 350 on my 82 R. 200 on my 84 R that is my baby that I am restoring. I figure about 1000+ for the 84 the way I want it. (Canadian)

Mr.Sandman your R is the best, around 6 grand into it and it is well worth it.

I bought a 1994 Polaris 400L 4x4 for $325.00 from my boss, I then put air in the tires and cleaned the carb. I sold it (Sunday the 2nd night) for $1750.00 to a man who wanted something to follow his son on. I then bought my 85 atc 250r for 1400.00 dollars (Monday the third evening). So, I can honestly say that I am out nothing, even after buying a master cylinder guard and SS front brake line, both from eBay. I am gonna throw down some green on some paddles, polished aluminum wheels, ESR pipe and head, and lots of chrome and polished aluminum. Sorry so long, Kaysen

Curious to see who's got the most expensive trike on here !!

My 85 SX isnt the most expensive by far... but I've still spent more on it than it will ever be worth (worth in dollars). I bought it for $900 and after 3 years I'm well over $2000 and about to add another $300 when the Works Shock comes in.

Worth in dollars I'll never recover...worth to me (like was said above) Priceless! :w00t:

well i am going to just add up the 350x amount why because it has been the best bike with the least expense.

first purchase price $1300

fuel, tolls and hooters fees $200 would have been half less hooters lol

sold the speedo to howdy, grabbar, gas scoops, headlight guard, on ebay +$100

new tires all around $200
super scoops, chrome headlight guard, and used head pipe all ebay $100

rear brakes, rear block off plate, maier disc cover, grips from dennis kirk $100

prm grabbar $35

better used rear mudflap did a little trading with freakfix thanks matt

handlebars and fork guts salvage them from a poor 83 250r that i parted out.

forks seals, and front hub seals local dealership $40

fact that i am writting this?????? best bike i have ever owned!!!!! never let me down yet.

LOL I think Tom Batts should get on here with his 350X.

Got my Tecate on a trade for a chainsaw...got about $2000 (Canadian) into it now in OEM and aftermarket parts. So basicly $2000 because the bike was a non-running basket case. I'll never sell it and always dump cash into it just because its not exactly the way I want it yet.

I have no wife lol!!!

I'm right at 4 grand, give or take a few bucks. That is finished cost. I didnt expect to put that much into it, but then I never thought I would totally redo it. Now thats the money is spent and the Tecate is done, I think its worth it. This trike is gonna be around a long time. This is an older pic without pipe and seat cover. :beer

With this project and my ute project im gonna be sooo broke, im still in debt with my parents!

For my one SX I paid $700 and put another $50 in her for a front tire. For my second I paid $500 plus $300 for a new engine which has a slight crack in the side case. And my last one I got I piad $1200 (well my dad did) and replaced a rear tire which now needs a tube put in. In total I have probably $2800 in all 3.
