Hey guys,
I have a 200x that been recently rebuilt. It has a ticking coming from the vavles. Once it got warmed up it go louder. I took it back to the guy who rebuilt it, and he said the just needed to be reset. It worked. When you start it up it sounds great, till it warms up then starts ticking again. Is this normal? Will it hurt my motor? It does not smoke and has plenty of power. Thanks Adam

Engine noise can come from a few places. mainly Valve adjmnents .. and loose timing chain can also make noise. Dads from .org made a point the other day that a too tight timing chaing makes a wrrrrrrr sound... a loose one makes a ticking sound. LOL..

things to ponder.
