Is there a trick to setting the timing?

Im struggling to set the timing on my 200s. I just change my cam and Im trying to follow the instructions from the servive manual, but I cant align all the marks. Is there a trick to this? What can I do to make this easier? Thanks

Sometimes they can be a fraction out of your cam chain has stretched, is this your problem? If it is you have to just set it the best you can or buy a new chain. Also if you have had the head or cylinder decked to make it flat then this will also affect it.
