I absoloutely love my YT 175. I like the power on them for such small trikes. Im 6' 2" 230lbs. And itll easily go 40MPH with me driving pulling a guy in a sled.
Is there any minor, or even major for that matter, mods that could be done to my YT175 that will make it go faster???

I am rebuilding my 175 tri-moto right now. I have sent the head and cylinder to ftz racing to be ported. You can also get a set of boysen power reeds. They no longer make pipes for them but if you keep checking e-bay or the boards an aftermarket pipe might show up. I have a bassani and a white brothers pipe. I love my tri-moto and after I get it back together I will post a picture of it. Glenn Oister

They are out of missouri. They have a web page. Not sure what it is but if you search ftz racing it should pop up their web page. I also bought a great looking drag pipe for my 250r from them. Glenn

There was a DG head for these trikes (keep looking on ebay)
Bassani pipes (ebay again)

Also, the was a rear suspension conversion.
If you want to go all out, you can use the bottom end out of a IT175 (or 200) and switch it over to using a clutch. The boost bottle from those models will also attatch.. Also, using, I think they were 80cc MX bike forks and a custom tripple clamp you could upgrade the front end.
This was all done as a "project" in an old dirtwheels..

These things can be made to go pretty fast.

sweet! Speaking of exhaust, mines probably one of the sorriest looking ones i got around, ive been keeping an eye out on ebay. If anyone on here has a pipe that will fit a YT175 and are willing to sell it, please lemme know. Mine has a fair size crack in it, and the exhaust was all coming out the front till i cut up a muffler repair kit for a car and put it on there. The exhaust no longer comes out the front, but its loud as hell!

You guys wanting to get an aftermarket pipe for those YT175's might want to give Dyno-port a call. If you are willing to send them the motor - they will make a pipe for it, and its not that unreasonable either. I had toyed with the idea on my '82 R and I spoke with (Mike?) I believe up there - it came out to way under $500 including shipping as I recall.

holy crap.. my pipe is gone to crap, lol. It seems everytime i start it up theres a new hole. So im planning on taking it to my auto class to weld some steel over those holes. The patchwork i have just wont do.

Im gonna clean it up real nice, the kill switch didnt work, i fixed that, the headlight dont work either, but im just in the process of fixing that problem. After i sell it im hoping to get a 250R or 250sx.
