Some of you know that I have been contacting Clarke to get them to make an 85/86 250R tank. Well, below is the response I just received this morning. Looks like they are making it!!!.....
We do not have any specific dates available but we do have a side project going right now to produce this tank.
Keep watching the website for new products..
Thanks
Chris

It's called a tri-zinger 60 tank. Mike from Long Island has one on his Z.

i know everyone is happy about clarke building some tanks, but whats wrong with the IMS tanks. i have a clarke on a old dirtbike, and it uses a universal petcock also made by clarke and that thing is nothing but trouble. for what ever reason the o-ring will not last that long. but the tank seems to be pretty good. if the clarke tanks use factory petcocks then they should be fine. i also have two IMS tanks for my 250r and they are perfect. i'm not knocking clarke tanks, just for me i'm sticking with IMS. :)

ims ones only come in a 4 gallon size. I used one of them for a bit, but switched to track and short trails rides and took the huge tank off.

I don't like the huge tank unless its for desert riding. It looks awkard and bulbous.
I am a wus anyways.
