Restoring ATC tank vs Tecate tank

I've went back and reviewed old threads and I saw some great 250R tank restorations and Ive seen some talk on the tecate tanks. Of course the Tecate I bought has the same problem as everbody else's the faded and brown stained tank. I bought a new tank cover from Gerung International and received it already after finding the info here on this board and its great!!!. I'm assumming the same methods to restore the 250R tank dont work for the tecate or I would of seen similar posts. Any info would be helpful.

Look into my other thread and call the number that is there and ask for Jay he can and still does have all the equipment to restore the gas tanks. Takes a few days but it will be a restored metal tank again.

Tecate tanks are plastic.

250R tanks can be sanded to look new because they basically just have the outside layer of plastic dry out. The Tecate tanks yellow from the inside out so you can't just remove a layer of plastic.

Pretty gas tanks won't make them go faster :p

You can always Kreame the tank on the inside and paint it. That way the fumes from the gas doesnt peel the paint off.

What is this Keame and where do you get it? How do you apply it and is it reliable?

You must prep it nicely so you do it right. Dennis kirk has it too. Oh sorry the spelling is Kreem. :)
