out of 3 swingers ive got 1 with the skid plate mounts, but I cant get it off the frame (think im goin to get a torch and heat up the bolt)the axle bearings are gone and it is rusted all inside if i take a wire wheel to it then sand it how wary must I be to not take too much metal off so the bearings will fit ?? next ques.how do I get the needle bearrings and thrust washeers out with out speacialty tools without damageing the swing arm,
also the collar for the axle bearing is rusted solid in place should i heat it up also with torch??or should i leave it in place and sand the inner diameter??
It can be a really tough job to repair that arm. Use a sawzall to cut the pivot bolt just inside each framerail. Then use a die grinder to remove the remains of the needle bearings. You will need all new small parts like the pivot bolt, spacers, needl bearings, and dust seals.

Use a mini grinder with a thin cutting disc! The sawz all will butcher things.

Mini grinder- a 110 volt handheld angle grinder. Ususaaly made by Makita, Milwakee, B&D etc. Can be bought for $30 to $150. Quite a handy tool, since you can change between cutting discs, grinding discs, and wire wheels.
